The wait is coming to an end for those who appreciate Mexican art and culture, as the opening of the first Xcaret Popular Art Fair is approaching. From September 19 to 22, 2024, the historic Hacienda Henequenera in Xcaret Park will become a lively meeting point for nearly 140 Mexican master artisans, showcasing the diversity and richness of the country's craft traditions.

This four-day event will not only be a celebration of Mexican folk art, but also an opportunity to boost the economy of diverse communities throughout Mexico. The Xcaret Popular Art Fair is created with the purpose of promoting culture and sustainable development, in line with Xcaret's mission of sharing the love of Mexico with the entire world.

Since its inception, Xcaret has been a defender of Mexican culture, committed to creating shared prosperity and respect for human rights. The Xcaret Popular Art Fair reflects these values by offering a dignified space for artisans to share their cultural creations.

The fair will offer a wide range of activities, including craft displays and sales, Mexican food tastings, technique demonstrations, talks, live music and parades. A competition will be held to recognize and reward craftsmanship excellence, with generous cash prizes for winners in several categories.
