Within this same area is Kaan Luum, a lagoon in Tulum considered the most impressive natural pool in the Riviera Maya. Located just over 10 kilometers from the center of Tulum, near the entrance to the Sian Ka'an nature reserve, Kaan Luum, which means "Yellow Land" in Mayan, is one of the most surprising natural bodies of water in Mexico , since it houses a cenote inside. According to the belief of the Mayan civilization, the cenotes, also known as "dzonot", represented the entrance to the underworld, the meeting point with their gods. The cenote within the Kaan Luum lagoon is approximately 25 meters in diameter and 85 meters deep, and although access is prohibited, the rest of the lagoon is completely accessible, with calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling, paddle and kayak.

One of the most striking characteristics of Kaan Luum is the visual spectacle it offers, with its various shades ranging from turquoise to intense blue, creating a beautiful natural rainbow. To get there, it is recommended to travel by taxi or public transport along the México 307 highway towards Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Upon entry, there is an access fee and rules that must be strictly followed. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing and footwear, as well as biodegradable sunscreen to fully enjoy this natural wonder.
