In a business-focused atmosphere, the swearing-in ceremony for the new president of the Asociación Mexicana de Mujeres Empresarias (AMEXME) in Cozumel took place. The event was held during a breakfast at the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel, gathering prominent women from the network and marking the leadership transition from Ana López to Beatriz Sandoval.
AMEXME is recognized as the largest network of female entrepreneurs in Mexico, with a presence in 29 states and over 70 chapters across 12 regions. It is also the only association affiliated with the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (FCEM), which includes 120 countries.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including representatives from municipal and state government, as well as the national president of AMEXME, Ivett Jeanett Bonifaz Famania. Also present were representatives from other AMEXME chapters, such as Tulum Riviera Maya and Puerto Morelos, along with business chambers from Cozumel and various civil associations. Additionally, candidates Perla Tun for Deputy and Pedro Joaquín for President were in attendance.
During the event, the significant growth of the association under the outgoing president, Ana López, was highlighted. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, López achieved a 30% increase in membership. The importance of unity and collaboration among all members was emphasized to overcome difficulties and continue progressing towards their business goals.
Beatriz Sandoval, the new president, expressed her commitment to continuing the work done by her predecessor and further strengthening the network of female entrepreneurs in Cozumel. She also emphasized the importance of promoting the economic empowerment of women and providing them with the tools and opportunities needed to achieve success in the business world.
The event concluded with expressions of support and congratulations for the new president, as well as a renewed commitment from all AMEXME Cozumel members to work together for the growth and economic development of the island.
